Senior Robotics (3rd to 6th Classes)
Our Senior Robotic Students will discover and explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) using fun, engaging and practical approaches. The children will also engage in some physical activites throughout the camp to give a healthy and balanced educational experience. All students will complete various activities from the LEGO Education Curriculum. Students will work in small groups build robots using Lego EV3 Mindstorms equipment and will learn how to use appropriate I-Pad applications to programme their robots to complete commands and activities designed by our camp leaders. As the week progresses they will also explore how their learning during this camp translates to real world applications with robotics.
Novice Engineers (1st and 2nd Classes)
Our Novice Engineers will engage in a mixture of fun physical activities and STEM based educational projects. The students will learn about the basics of building and designing along with structural strength. The children will use Lego to also learn about some basic mechanical engineering concepts such as levers, pulleys, gear wheels and motors. During the camp, the children will work in small groups to design and build various projects including automobiles, castles, skyscrapers and much more. The children will also be introduced to basic programming and coding concepts and complete simple programming activities and challenges using suitable I-Pad applications.
Mini Builders (Junior and Senior Infants)
Our Mini Builders will participate in a mixture of creative Lego based projects along with enjoying some sessions of physical activity. The children will use Lego to design various projects while building their own houses, shops, bridges and much more. The students will also create their own inventions during the “Free Build” sessions throughout the week. The children will also get an opportunity to use some fun virtual reality Lego building applications and games on the I-Pads during the camp.
